NASDAQ backs off all time highs as shares of Alphabet drop the most in 6 years. European indexes closing basically flat on the day. US markets mixed with the DJIA and S&P 5oo up vs the NASDAQ and Russell 2000 indexes down. Energy saw Oil slightly positive again by a mere 3 basis points. Natural Gas was negative by 73 basis points.
Alphabet continued to press lower today as shares of GOOG and GOOGL continue down after the Q1 earnings report in today’s trading. The US corporate earnings of interest tomorrow include Amarin (AMRN) and CVS Health Corporation (CVS) both before the market opens. Square (SQ), Zynga (ZNGA), and Qualcomm (QCOM) all report after the close for Wednesday. The Economic calendar is highlighted by the Canadian PMI at 13:30 GMT, US ISM numbers at 14:00 GMT and the US FOMC interest rate decision at 18:00 GMT.
