The US markets still having issues with FOMC Chairman Powell’s comments suggesting the FED is not considering a cut any time soon. However, the Russell 2000 closed higher by 40 basis points. The broader energy market printed widespread declines with Oil down over 3%. Beyond Meats (BYND) initial public offering today saw shares rise 163%. This is the biggest IPO pop since the 2008 financial crisis. Needless to state that BYND is the most successful IPO for 2019 so far.
The US corporate earnings of interest tomorrow include American Tower Corporation (AMT), Fiat Chrysler (FCAU), ImmunoGen (IMGN), and Newell Brands (NWL) all before the open for Friday. The Economic calendar is highlighted by the change in Non-Farm Payrolls report for April set for release at 12:30 GMT as well as the US Unemployment Rate. At 14:00 GMT we see US ISM Non-Manufacturing Services Composite data for April.
